ABOUT THE ART
It was big and blue and shiny and she wore it everyday. I had just met her and was trying to make a good impression, but kept getting distracted; I just couldn’t help but stare at it every time she spoke. - I finally asked her where she snagged her beautiful ring. “Oh this?! It’s my power ring!” - She told me that she had had it for years, and that it rarely left her finger. She found it tucked in the depths of a pawn shop after suffering a devastating breakup, and while a bit pricy, it spoke to her. She had to have it. - Overtime, that big ring began to serve her beyond its beauty. It became a daily reminder that she was STRONG and POWERFUL and could persevere no matter the hardship. - This ring was made to become YOUR power ring. Bold and rugged with a thick silver band sprinkled with texture. It features a celestial touch here and there as a nod to the Patagonian night sky; a place that holds so much significance for me. It’s my hope that it too will become your conversation starter.
ABOUT THE STONES
NEW LANDER: Technically speaking, New Lander stone almost always consists of chalcosiderite, not turquoise. But, like variscite, chalcosiderite is related to turquoise and occurs in deposits similar to turquoise so it is marketed along with turquoise. It occurs in both nuggets and large veins and seams and ranges in color from white to yellow to light brown and green. Virtually all New Lander is heavily matrixed with the matrix forming predominantly coarse lines. Some fine spider-webbed material is found which is generally considered to be more valuable than the typical coarsely webbed with white/yellow/brown/ green patches which is most commonly found.
A NOTE ON WEAR I have chosen high quality materials to create a piece of artful jewelry that will last a lifetime. Although crafted with the adventurous spirit in mind, please take care while wearing my pieces as natural stones can be delicate. To prolong the life of your piece, I suggest you remove it while swimming, hiking, rock climbing, cliff jumping, skydiving or whatever other crazy and rigorous adventure you find yourself on!
