FAQs

Here are some of my most frequently asked questions. If you have an inquiry that you don't see here, feel free to shoot me a message!

Q: How can I purchase your jewelry?

A: I make my jewelry entirely by hand, slowly and intentionally. I create in small quantities, releasing new collections between 1-2 times a month. Dates and times of releases are announced here as well as on Instagram with the occasional surprise release- so follow along for updates! I list everything that I have available for purchase here on my website so if you don't see what you're looking for, it has likely sold out. However, I am continually designing and creating new pieces which you can sneak a peek at on my instagram, @thewildpine!

Q: Do you accept custom orders? Can I reserve a piece I saw on Instagram?

A: I am currently unable to accommodate custom orders OR reservations on pieces. However,  I do take requests into account! If there's something you'd like to see in a specific style or size, drop me a line!

Q: How can I get a Silver Pinecone Necklace? Or a pair of Mountain Maven Ear Jackets?

A: My two varieties of pinecone necklaces and Mountain Maven Ear Jackets are my signature and most popular items! They all are in high demand, so if you have been unable to snag them yet, do not fret; I won't stop making them anytime soon! Each pair of ear jackets are one of a kind and require a lot of time to design and create by hand, which is why I only release them periodically. My pinecones are the same way. I make all of them in small batches and release them in my shop monthly. These limited releases are made up of either of a handful of ready-to-ship styles AND/OR made-to-order listings that take 2-4 weeks to be completed. I announce release dates here on as well as on Instagram, so check both often if you would like to know when to score a pair!

Q: Can I put a piece on Layaway or arrange multiple payments?

A: Yes! I do accept multiple payment plans on anything over $200. Any piece that is still available an hour after the listing has been posted is eligible for a payment plan. The first person to email or message me via Instagram after the hour is up will lay claim to the piece. I require 25% of the total plus shipping to reserve the piece. Then, I offer up to 4 nonrefundable payments spread over a maximum of 6 weeks. I am happy to accommodate what works best for you, so please indicate the time frame you prefer in your message. Payments must be paid promptly upon the times agreed upon. Failure to do so without communication with me will result in the cancellation of your plan. All prior completed payment(s) for Layaway items are nonrefundable.

Q: Where do you ship? How long will it take for my package to arrive?

A: I ship everywhere! Orders ship within 3-5 business days of purchase, with made-to-order pieces within the specific time frame stated in the listing. You will be notified via email once your package ships and be provided with tracking info. Postage prices are calculated upon checkout and vary based on the chosen rate and destination. Domestic orders have the choice between First Class or Priority Mail upon checkout. All international orders will be shipped Priority to ensure the protection of your piece. All pieces are shipped via USPS and should arrive within 1-5 business days in the U.S. and 1-6 weeks internationally depending upon destination. Once a package has been dropped off at the post office, it becomes your responsibility. Pieces over $200 come with shipping insurance, with information to file a claim attached with your tracking number. I rarely if ever have an issue with USPS- but please understand that the occasional delay is to be expected!

Q: How will my jewelry arrive? Do you offer gift-wrapping?

A: For plight of the trees, your order will arrive in packaging using 100% recycled paper and materials. All orders are hand packaged with care and contain a little natural thank-you gift inside in addition to your piece. Earrings come on sustainably harvested Birch Bark collected from fallen trees here in New England. Pendants, cuffs and barrettes come in a cloth pouch. To further save paper, a packing slip will NOT be included as this can be found in your confirmation email. While I do not offer specific "gift wrapping", know that my packaging is intentionally designed to look like a gift, complete with a bow, greenery and other surprises.

Q: I have no clue what my ring size is! How can I find out?

A: The best way to find your ring size is to stop by any local jeweler and simply ask them to measure your finger(s) to determine your size. You also can bring a ring that you know fits well and have them measure it (this works great if you're buying a ring for someone else!) If neither is possible, reference this nifty website, but know results may not be as reliable as a professional jeweler's measurements: http://findmyringsize.com

Q: Can I get a ring resized?

A: Most of my rings CANNOT be resized. I note in each item description whether or not a ring can be resized, so please read the details of each listing carefully. If you read that a ring CAN be resized, please message me BEFORE purchasing with your desired size. I require an additional fee for resizing. Depending on the type of stone and amount of work involved, this is usually between $30-$100. Please let me know if you have any additional questions as well and I can provide more info!

Q: How do I care for my jewelry?

A: To properly care for your one-of-a-kind piece, take care while wearing as natural stones can be delicate. View it as a piece of artwork that you’d like to preserve for generations to come! To prolong the life of your piece, I suggest you remove it while swimming, rock climbing, cliff jumping, sky diving or whatever other crazy and rigorous adventure you find yourself on! The best way to clean your jewelry is to use a clean, soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove fingerprints, dirt, residue, and oils. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or jewelry cleaners as these can damage the surface of the stone or remove the patina on your piece.

Q: What is your return/exchange policy?

A: I gladly accept returns within a certain timeframe. Please be sure to:

  • Contact me within 3 days of the delivery of your piece with reason for return.
  • Returns must be shipped back within 7 days of delivery. Pieces must be in their original condition and packaging in order to receive a refund.
  • Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Custom pieces CANNOT be returned or exchanged.

PLEASE contact me if you have an issue or are unhappy with a piece! I put my heart and soul into my work, and want to ensure that each and every customer is COMPLETELY satisfied, with both the jewelry and the buying experience. I sincerely want my work to bring you joy, and if there is any reason that you don't love a piece, do not hesitate to reach out! I understand that sometimes things happen, and I will do everything that I can to accommodate you in the best way possible.
