FAQs

How can I purchase your jewelry?

I list everything that I have available for purchase here on my website, so if you do not see what you are looking for, it has likely sold out. However, I am continually designing and creating new pieces which you can sneak a peek at on my instagram, @thewildpine. I make my jewelry by hand and in small quantities, releasing new collections between 2-3 times a month. Dates and times of releases are announced here as well as on @thewildpine, with the occasional surprise release- so follow along for updates!

How can I get a pair of Mountain Maven Ear Jackets?

My Mountain Maven Ear Jackets are my signature and most popular item! They are in high demand, so if you have been unable to snag a pair yet, do not fret; I won't stop making them anytime soon! Each pair of ear jackets requires a lot of time and patience to design and create by hand, which is why I only release them periodically. I make them in "batches" and release them in my shop once a month. These limited releases are made up of either of a handful of ready-to-ship styles AND/OR made-to-order listings that take 3-6 weeks to be completed. I announce release dates here on Etsy as well as on Instagram, so check both often if you would like to know when to score a pair! Please message me for pricing.

Can I put a piece on Layaway or arrange multiple payments?

Yes! I do accept multiple payment plans on anything over $200. Any piece that is still available an hour after the listing has been posted is eligible for a payment plan. The first person to message me via Etsy after the hour is up will lay claim to the piece. I offer up to 4 nonrefundable payments spread over a maximum of 6 weeks. I am happy to accommodate what works best for you, so please indicate the time frame you prefer in your message. Payments must be paid promptly upon the times agreed upon. Failure to do so without communication with me will result in the cancellation of your plan. All prior completed payment(s) for Layaway items are nonrefundable. No exceptions! Thank you for your understanding.

Do you accept custom orders? Can I reserve a piece I saw on Instagram?

I am unable to accommodate custom orders OR reservations on pieces. While I personally cannot make any exceptions to these rules, I can provide you with a referral to another metalsmith that can accommodate custom pieces. Just message me and I will point you towards my favorite artists/makers.

Can I get a ring resized?

Most of my rings CANNOT be resized. I note in each item description whether or not a ring can be resized, so please read the details of each listing carefully. If you read that a ring CAN be resized, please message me BEFORE purchasing with your desired size. I require an additional fee for resizing. Depending on the type of stone and amount of work involved, this is usually between $30-$100. Please let me know if you have any additional questions as well and I can provide more info!

Shipping and Insurance

Once a package has been dropped off at the post office, it becomes your responsibility. All items are shipped USPS First Class and have tracking numbers. I am not liable for items lost/damaged/delayed during shipping.I rarely if ever have an issue with USPS- but please understand that the occasional delay is to be expected. It is vital that you choose to opt-in for the small fee for shipping insurance at checkout. This covers lost, damaged, or stolen items. If your item is lost, damaged or stolen and you did pay for shipping insurance at checkout, you need to fill out this form on Route's website. They will handle everything from there! Please reach out if you have any other questions or concerns.

I have no clue what my ring size is! How can I find out?

The best way to find your ring size is to stop by any local jeweler and simply ask them to measure your finger(s) to determine your size. You also can bring a ring that you know fits well and have them measure it (this works great if you're buying a ring for someone else!) If neither is possible, reference this nifty website, but know results may not be as reliable as a professional jeweler's measurements: http://findmyringsize.com

Care instructions

To properly care for your one-of-a-kind piece, take care while wearing as natural stones can be delicate. To prolong the life of your piece, I suggest you remove it while swimming, rock climbing, cliff jumping, sky diving or whatever other crazy and rigorous adventure you find yourself on!

The best way to clean your jewelry is to use a clean, soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove fingerprints, dirt, residue, and oils. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or jewelry cleaners as these can damage the surface of the stone or remove the patina on your piece. When not in use, store your piece in a cool dry place.

How will my jewelry arrive? Do you offer gift-wrapping?

For plight of the trees, your order will arrive in packaging using 100% recycled paper and materials. All orders are hand packaged with care and contain a little natural thank-you gift inside in addition to your piece. Earrings come on sustainably harvested Birch Bark collected from fallen trees in NH. Pendants, cuffs and barrettes come in a cloth pouch. To further save paper, a packing slip will NOT be included as this can be found on your account.

While I do not offer specific "gift wrapping", know that my packaging is intentionally designed to look like a gift, complete with a bow, greenery and other surprises. So, you do not have to worry about any additional wrapping if the piece is intended for a special someone!
