ABOUT THE ART
Since girlhood, I’ve been enamored with the American West.
In elementary school, I was Laura Ingalls for Halloween 3 years in a row, dressed in a prairie frock & matching bonnet hand sewn by my Mom.
In middle school, I wrote my first big history report on what life was like for women on the Wagon Trains. The good, the bad, the ugly. I made cowboy Johnny cakes for the class & remember the laughs when I divulged that they did indeed burn Buffalo patties for fire when wood was scarce.
Through high school & college, I ate up every Willa Cather book, marveled at Georgia O’Keefe paintings & watched every Western I could with my mom. I remember a girl in class trying to make fun my vintage cowboy boots by calling me “a dirty ranch hand” and to this day I still consider that a high compliment. 😆👢
Even now, I’m endlessly inspired by the gumption & grit the women of the west possessed- to be able to pack up everything in a wagon & endure months of hardship whilst exposed to the elements, all in search of a better life. To me, they exemplify the perfect marriage of beauty & valor.
These Turquoise Feminine Bolos are a nod to those women. Rugged yet delicate, with a high grade NATURAL turquoise slices mined in the heart of the American West.
I’ve had these incredible cuts of high grade natural turquoise in my collection for YEARS, & finally had the courage to do them justice. These are incredibly rare, one of a kind beauties that are well worth the investment. It is my hope that they will become heirlooms & I am thrilled to offer them to you.
A NOTE ON WEAR

Although crafted with the adventurous spirit in mind, please take care while wearing my pieces as natural stones can be delicate. To prolong the life of your piece, I suggest you remove it while swimming, hiking, rock climbing, cliff jumping, skydiving or whatever other crazy and rigorous adventure you find yourself on!
